With the accelerated development of major projects such as the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor and the China-Laos Railway, supporting infrastructure like cold chain systems and cold storage facilities has been continuously improved, providing crucial technical support for importing fruits into China. This has made it more convenient for ASEAN countries to access the Chinese market.
Currently, Qinzhou Port in China has established express fruit trade routes to countries like Thailand and Vietnam. Data shows that in the first half of this year, Qinzhou Port imported 7,959.7 tons of fruit, valued at 100 million yuan. The main fruit varieties include durians, coconuts, longans and mangosteens.
As a "golden logistics corridor" between China and ASEAN countries, the China-Laos Railway has also demonstrated its importance since its opening. According to data, as of August 22, 2024, the China-Laos Railway has transported over 43 million tons of goods, including 13,000 tons of cold-chain fruits such as Thai durians and bananas.
